What Is Interlock Fabric?

Interlock fabric is a special type of knitted fabric widely used in the textile industry. The word “interlock” literally means “interlinked” or “interconnected,” which perfectly describes the way this fabric is produced.
Interlock fabrics are made on double-knit machines, where two sets of yarns are interlaced in an alternating, interlocking structure. As a result, both the front and back sides of the fabric look identical — smooth, flat, and refined.
